As Medical Director, Dr. Salib provides oversight and guidance for all resident care services at Silverado Thousand Oaks. He is committed to a palliative approach, focusing on residents’ quality of life. Dr. Salib brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the care of those aging and living with dementia.
Dr. Salib graduated at the top of his class from the oldest Medical School in the Middle East, Cairo University. He completed his residency in New York and New Jersey, serving as Chief Resident at the Mount Sinai Consortium. Dr. Salib earned a Master’s degree in Public Health from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. He has taught medical students and residents at Mount Sinai in New York and the West Los Angeles VA hospital where he served as faculty at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Salib brings many years of both academic and professional experience in Medicine and Healthcare Administration, hospital systems, and health care transitions. He has focused his career on Geriatrics care, Hospice Care, Palliative Care, and has expertise in Dementia and Cognitive impairment; Aging and Pain management. His approach focuses on comfort, quality of life and dignity in caring for seniors.
