The community welcomes African Soul International and Black Excellence
Silverado Beverly Place in Los Angeles celebrates Black History Month with the help of Black Excellence and African Soul International! The day began with the community recognizing its African-American residents, including Julia who’s passion for classical, jazz and spiritual music dates back to the 40s, and another resident who happens to be a former college football star. Afterwards, performers from ASI welcomed the residents and associates to join them in dance as the drummers beat lively African tunes. Not only did this beautiful celebration give the community insight into black history in America, it showed them a piece of traditional African culture as well.
