Every year Silverado families are surveyed by U.S. News & World Report about their experience with us. Here are just a few comments shared by verified Silverado Newport Mesa family members when surveyed:

“You will not find a more family oriented or more comfortable living condItion for your loved one. The staff makes sure everyone living here is engaged in some type of activity. Everyone has their own space. It is a very happy, safe and pleasant atmosphere.”

“Silverado Newport Mesa has been a blessing during the most heartbreaking ride of our lives.

“Silverado has the best family feel of any place I’ve seen for senior living. There’s a very sincere vibe that permeates the entire staff and community. Attentive and kind to all the residents and their family members/friends. The animals are delightful and having them there makes all the difference in the world as far as I’m concerned.”

“I am so happy with our decision to move both Mom and Dad into Silverado. The level of love, support, respect and care for them both has been unparalleled. I am not only confident that they are safe and secure, but am also heartened to see that they are truly living their best lives, experiencing joy and community in a way they had lost when trying to live independently on their own. Silverado really focuses on what they can do, not what they can’t do, and I am beyond grateful for this. By witnessing directly that Alzheimer’s can be treated not like a death sentence, but merely a new and different chapter in a complete and meaningful life, gives me the courage to face my own long-term future, whatever that may bring.”

    Why choose Silverado?

    Open/close panel
    Open/close panel

Many families shared the peace of mind they experienced when they finally chose Silverado after wrestling with feelings of guilt that comes from deciding to reach out for help. Even a family working together cannot replicate what an expert team of professionals who do this for a living and get to go home at night and rest can provide. Even superhuman strength eventually gives out. Once families make a move to Silverado and see that their loved one is better off and they can sleep again, the common refrain is, “I should have moved my loved one in earlier.” They are relieved to be the daughter, son, husband, or wife again and not the caregiver.

We want to reassure you that we understand that no one knows your loved one more than you do. We are the experts in what we do, having led the way in memory care for over 20 years. Families have shared they recognized that a delay in placement is a delay in care in treating this illness, and we know that a delay can result in a dangerous crisis for the exhausted caregiver or your loved one. Do not wait for an emergency. We invite you to give us a call at (949) 631-2212 and schedule a time to visit Silverado Newport Mesa.

In fact, we’re so confident that Silverado is the best choice to provide for your loved one’s needs we offer a satisfaction pledge unequaled in memory care.

Don’t just take our word for it – watch some of our life-enriching stories!

We look forward to meeting you soon.

    Heather Younan

    Administrator

For the past ten years, Heather has made her mark in senior care working a wide variety of roles including an administrator, executive chef, sous-chef and care provider. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Sacramento City College and her Associate Degree in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu.

As Newport-Mesa’s Administrator, Heather strives to get to know her associate team on a personal level and build a familial relationship. She recognizes how important it is to become a family to ensure residents and their loved ones are receiving the best care and support. Heather hopes to change the stigma around senior living and help others see communities as an extension of a resident’s home. “Senior living has evolved and isn’t a nursing home anymore,” she shares.

Heather moved to Southern California from Davis, CA and currently resides with her wife, three-year old son named Shai and two dogs. Heather enjoys the outdoors, hiking, going to the beach, hockey and is a fan of the San Jose Sharks.
