We are currently seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team in Irvine!
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional to grow their career. As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you’ll be responsible for overseeing complex accounting tasks, preparing accurate and timely financial statements, month-end close, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial records. This role requires a deep understanding of GAAP accounting principles, financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
This position will be Hybrid, In-Office Tuesday - Thursday.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in public accounting
- CPA certification or CPA candidacy preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting tools
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- A self-starter with a growth mindset, capable of multitasking and thriving under pressure
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues at all levels
What you'll be doing:
- Prepare accounting schedules, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations for complex areas such as debt, equity, lease accounting, variable-interest entities, and stock compensation
- Perform monthly flux analyses for multiple properties and ensure accurate reporting
- Manage consolidation processes, including preparation of elimination entries
- Develop comprehensive financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and accompanying disclosures
- Address technical accounting matters and draft memos using GAAP or Big Four interpretive guidance
- Review journal entries prepared by other accountants to ensure accuracy
- Oversee monthly and quarterly compliance activities for external stakeholders
- Collaborate with external parties to review tax returns and provide necessary documentation to investors
- Assist the Assistant Controller and Controller with non-routine reporting transactions and year-end audit preparation
- Ensure adherence to SOX requirements and implement best practices for compliance
- Analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities and proactively address challenges
- Maintain a collaborative and adaptable mindset, effectively working in a team-oriented and dynamic environment
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Perform additional duties as assigned
