Alzheimer’s is a challenge faced by every nation in the world. Often, in less-developed nations, care for those living with the disease can be less effective due to an incomplete understanding of current practices and treatments. As a leader in care with a dedication to changing the lives of people affected by Alzheimer’s globally, Silverado places a great importance on outreach and education.
Silverado’s Michelle Egerer, Senior Vice President of Culture & Leadership Ambassador, recently traveled to Armenia with Alzheimer’s Care Armenia President Dr. Jane Mahakian to join the “From Early Detection to End of Life: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Alzheimer’s Disease” conference. The conference is dedicated to exploring the various facets of Alzheimer’s disease, from early detection strategies to providing comprehensive care throughout the lifespan.
On Friday, March 22 the two Alzheimer’s emissaries presented at the Armenian National Institutes of Health in Yerevan, the nation’s capital. Their presentation, alongside the many other speakers and sessions throughout the conference, helped to raise awareness and understanding in a way that will impact how people living with Alzheimer’s are cared for and treated throughout the region.
