Dining at Silverado

Throughout our lives, food is an important source of joy – the taste of the food, presentation and the human interaction that comes along with mealtime. Silverado’s philosophy on dining is that it’s one of the best ways to raise quality of life in those with memory impairments, so we focus on serving high-quality meals and snacks that are both delicious and fit the unique dietary needs of individuals living with dementia.

What sets dining at Silverado apart?

  • Residents are served restaurant style meals in our dining rooms using linen tablecloths and napkins and china, glassware and flatware
  • Each community has a Director of Culinary Services who uses their extensive training and experience to execute planned menus
  • Communities have full on-site kitchens which made-from-scratch meal components are prepared using fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Communities offer many cooking and baking-related engagement activities which allow residents to practice and retain lifelong cooking skills
  • Community Bistros and country kitchens allow residents to stop by for a quick bite whenever they feel like it, grabbing a cold beverage, a sandwich, a sweet treat or whatever other delights the community’s culinary team has prepared that day.

Most importantly, families and visitors are always welcome to enjoy a meal with their loved one at no charge, because sharing a meal with your loved one is a special experience to be shared whenever possible.
