Although Silverado hospice patient Morissia Sauer had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and doctors only gave her months to live, she wasn’t letting that keep her down. Instead, she took it as an opportunity to create a bucket list with personal end-of-life wishes. Her list featured a variety of wishes — from enjoying a Red Lobster dinner to a formal wedding. With the help of Silverado Hospice and other organizations, Morissia checked off everything on her bucket list, including her wedding!
A special thanks to:
Deacon Daniel Addis from Co-Cathedral of Sacred Heart for volunteering his time to coordinate and officiate the wedding.
Tina Greer of Tina’s Salon for donating make-up and hair styling services.
Heather Ingram of Imagine That Pix for donating her wedding photography services.
Silverado Cypresswood associate Helen Gughis for donating professional bouquets, corsages, boutonnières, and floral arrangements.
Susan Reiter of Dacapo’s Bakery for donating the wedding cake.
Kim Hinojosa of Colonial Oaks Sugar Land for donating poinsettias to decorate the reception area.
