Life in the Community
The challenges of lockdowns and isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic affect those with dementia very differently. Residents in certain stages of their illness have trouble understanding why they are unable to visit their family or why everyone is wearing masks, which can cause stress and get in the way of care.
In a time where normalcy is nearly impossible and disruptions are the norm, we’ve redoubled our efforts to make life within the community an enriching and joyful place for residents.
