Nadia earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Reno, Nevada. Prior to joining Silverado, she worked as a testing assistant under a Neuropsychologist, where she gained valuable experience in administering neuropsychological assessments. Additionally, Nadia completed her practicum hours at the Lou Ruvo Center, expanding her knowledge on various neurological disorders and at Desert Parkway Behavioral Hospital, working within the chemical dependency unit.

Nadia is deeply passionate about her profession and the meaningful work that accompanies. She heavily resonates with Silverado’s philosophy and is committed to fulfilling her mission of supporting residents and families navigate the complexities of memory care.

On her free time, Nadia enjoys shopping, traveling and spending quality time with her family!

Irma brings several years of experience in the long term care arena. In 1981, she dedicated her life to the service of elders. Having volunteered at nursing homes and as a long-term care ombudsman in California, she decided to pursue a career at the University of Southern California, Ethel Andrus School of Gerontology. Irma served as a research assistant for several Professors in the field of aging before starting her professional career in community-based and served as manager for Alzheimer’s Association programs in California and Las Vegas. Most recently, she was the Family Services and Outreach Manager for the Alzheimer’s Association. Irma is community minded and has served in committees with many service providers in Las Vegas, such as the Lou Ruvo COBRE multi-cultural outreach committee and the Mexican Consulate REACH program, where she represents the needs of Latino elders.

Irma is often called on to share her insight into dementia with radio, television and newspapers. She is an excellent educator and has trained many agencies in our community in the subject area of aging and dementia. She is highly respected and known for going the extra mile to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our elders with a passion for dementia communities.  She is a very caring individual and will surely enrich the lives of our Silverado families.

Karmella joined Silverado in 2022, bringing a background in occupational therapy and extensive experience as a clinician, which formed the deep understanding that meaning, purpose, and function are possible across the lifespan. Karmella oversees Silverado Red Rock’s Nexus program, with a passion and commitment for residents to engage and maintain their independence in everyday living.

Karmella graduated with her Master’s from Touro University. She has been a licensed occupational therapist in Nevada since 2017, working in different settings including physical rehabilitation, home health and hospice. When Karmella worked in the hospice setting for over three years, she regularly helped others realize how a good quality of life was possible, even at the end-of-life stage. Inspired to shift the perception of aging, Karmella pursued additional studies while working and graduated with a post-professional doctorate from University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2021. Karmella has since included UNLV part-time faculty to her growing professional background. She has taught courses pertaining to functional cognition and mental health in older adult populations for the occupational therapy department.

Izze is a leader with skills in many diverse fields. Starting at the Silverado Newport Mesa community, Izze quickly developed a close-knit relationship with residents and gained respect from associates and Silverado families. He has been an activity professional in senior care for more than six years and has developed a deep understanding of what it means to properly care for someone with memory impairment. Izze prides himself in his great creativity in event management, and he continues to bring innovative ideas and service projects to help provide residents with enjoyable, engaging activities. His passion for improving the quality of life in seniors stems from his personal family relationships and a love of serving others. Izze is excited about infusing the new Red Rock community with Silverado’s compassionate culture.

Dave has been in the food service industry for more than 35 years. His hospitality career includes hotels and resorts, casinos and senior living.  Dave is originally from Trinidad & Tobago.  Through his experience working for the Hyatt Corporation, he received extensive hands-on training from world class chefs in every aspect of the hospitality field.

Dave is excited to be opening Silverado Red Rock, where he can lead and train the Culinary Team to be the best they can be.  He is passionate to serve his residents, families, guests and associates.  Salmon en Croute and Shrimp Scampi are two of Dave’s favorite items to present.

Dave is an avid deep-sea fisherman and the biggest fish he caught was a 300-pound tuna off the coast of New Jersey.  He is a world traveler and enjoys reading history books, watching football (soccer, where he comes from) and seeing live entertainment.
